One of six companies charged. Independently, OFAC (16 Jan 2025) says its COO Ahmad Abdalla is a DIS official who coordinated UAV acquisition for Sudan, and the UK (16 Jul 2026) says Portex 'is associated with Defense Industries System'. Probably the company the UAE's April 2025 statement described as 'listed under US sanctions'. Prosecutors say payments 'were passed through licensed companies and bank accounts inside the country under cover of sham commercial transactions'.
UAE state or UAE-based media relaying the UAE Public Prosecution. The UAE is a party-aligned source (accused by Sudan, UN experts and others of arming the RSF); graded no higher than C.
