Source of the only official record of NCP/Islamic Movement business assets. The C4ADS compilation of its decisions lists 123 seized entities, including the Danfodio group (holding, trading, contracting, petroleum services, advanced industries), Al-Zawaya, Larrycom and Ruwad Real Estate (the Hamza network), five exchange companies, shares in Nile Bank, a microfinance bank, media companies, petroleum-services and shipping firms, and MTN shares. An appeals committee 'cancelled all the decisions of the ERC' in 2022 (Sudan Tribune). The committee announced its resumption on 17 March 2026 under Mohamed al-Faki Suleiman, restructured 'to facilitate operations from outside Sudan'. Its secretary-general said in April 2026 that 'a significant portion of these funds is being used to finance and sustain the ongoing war'; its spokesman said 127 diplomats linked to the Islamic Movement had been identified. No amounts, companies or countries were published with the 2026 statements.

Why this grade
A for the 2020-2021 seizure record (official decisions as compiled by C4ADS); C for the 2026 claim that the funds finance the war (assertion by an opposition-aligned body, no evidence published)
Response
No response from the Islamic Movement or NCP in the articles read.
›Research notes

The reconstituted committee is led by figures opposed to the Port Sudan government and its relaunch followed the US terrorism designation of the Sudanese Muslim Brotherhood; UAE media have amplified it. Treat its 2026 statements as claims. The seizure list contains two entries that include private individuals' names; those are omitted here. The dataset is a 2022 snapshot and does not show which assets were returned.
