Counterpart named by DIS and by Burhan's page: 'CHINA ENERGY International Group'; value US$30 million; nuclear energy, airports and ports

2024-09-04

DIS's own post of 4 Sep 2024 names the counterpart as 'CHINA ENERGY International Group', 'specialised in energy and in building ports and airports', and quotes the group's head giving the value of the agreements as US$30 million. A post on Burhan's page the same day says the agreements were between DIS's 'Energy and Mining Group' and 'CHINA ENERGY companies specialised in building nuclear energy and constructing ports and airports', signed for Sudan by the manager of the National Company for Energy and Engineering, and that they cover 'the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes' and rehabilitating Sudan's sea ports.

Why this grade
Grade A is for the fact that the page announced this. The page was identified as official by its name and content; no verification badge was detected.
Response
No company statement found.
›Research notes

Source alignment: official SAF-side channel. Grade applies to the fact that the announcement was made, not to its content. The dossier's existing record names a 'CCCC group'; DIS's own text names China Energy. The two should be reconciled; the Chinese legal entity was not verified. The Burhan page (48,000 followers) has no verification badge; its text matches the armed forces' page post of the same day.
